From December 2026 through February 2027 we will be running a 6v6 league. All games will be played at NYA Sports in Newtown, CT.
The divisions include grades 3/4, 5/6, & 7/8. You are encourage to sign up as a team but may also sign up as a free agent
Rules & Format
"6s" is a fast paced version of lacrosse. What makes it different from traditional field lacrosse is there are only 6 players on the field. 5 "runners" and 1 goalie. Every runner plays with a short stick and there are no true positions. Everyone must play offense and defense. After each goal there are no face-offs, the goalie will outlet the ball to their team, after being scored on, and they will transition onto offense. It mimics the same flow as basketball.
These set of rules are used for the Olympic format of lacrosse and will allow our athletes to get more reps per time played.

What is included
Clinics
The cost includes 2 clinic days on Dec 6 & Dec 20 at NYA Sports. The clinic will be ran by local high school coaches. Our intent for these clinics is to help develop all of the players in our league and expose them to the fast pace gameplay of 6v6.
Games
8 games are guaranteed for all teams. This will include playoffs where we will name champions for each division 3/4, 5/6, 7/8.
